Welcome to Vessels of Compassion Thrive, where we are passionate about empowering individuals with unique abilities to achieve their career goals and thrive in the workforce. As a proud vendor with the State of Michigan, we partner with Michigan Rehabilitation Services to provide work readiness training, job placement services, and hands-on experiences to help students and adults succeed professionally.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to equipping individuals with unique abilities with the skills, confidence, and support they need to succeed in today’s workforce. By fostering inclusivity, self- advocacy, and professional growth, we aim to create meaningful opportunities for individuals, businesses, and the community.

What We Do

Work Readiness Training

Throughout the school year, we partner with Romulus, Wayne-Westland, and Monroe school districts to deliver engaging, hands-on training sessions tailored to high school students and young adults in transition programs. These trainings focus on essential workplace skills, including:
  • Social Skills
  • Effective Communication
  • Interviewing Skills
  • Requesting Accommodations
  • Self-Advocacy

Paid Work Experiences

During the summer, we extend learning beyond the classroom by facilitating paid work experiences for students. These opportunities allow students to gain practical skills while working at local businesses. As a vendor for the State of Michigan, we provide these programs at no cost to employers, making it easy for businesses to support inclusive work- based learning.

Job Placement Services

We go beyond training to provide job placement services for individuals with unique abilities who need help entering the workforce or finding employment. Our team works closely with individuals to match their skills, interests, and goals with the right opportunities. From resume preparation to interview coaching, we are committed to supporting individuals every step of the way.
